Since 1986 the committee Stella sulla Grotta sets up the nativity scene in a cave in Laureto, small locality on the hills part of the territory of Fasano. It is an original and unique creation, characterized by an enormous comet made of thousands of lights along the slope of the Mount Rivolta. In the middle of the comet there is a natural cave that penetrates the hill for some meters. At the end of its accessible tract there is the nativity scene represented by big statues, along the way it is possible to see some tools of the farming civilization.
The comet is lighted every year on 13th December and the crib opens on Christmas Eve.
Visits are possible from Christmas day to the Epiphany on holidays and pre-holidays from 5:00 pm until 9:30 pm.
