Fasano is the northernmost town in the province of Brindisi, it lies in a flat country between the Adriatic Sea and the hills of the Murgia. Its territory boasts a 15 kilometers long coast and a beautiful hill country.
The town is situated in an extended area with secular olive trees 111 meters on the sea level , about 50 kilometers far from three of the main cities in Apulia: Bari, Brindisi and Taranto.
It has a population of 40,000. The local economy is mostly based on Agriculture (35%) , Craft industry (35%), Manufacturing (23%) and Tertiary sector(7%).
There is a typical Mediterranean climate, characterized by mild winters , hot and humid summers.
How to get
Take the exit FASANO on the highways SS 16 that links Lecce and Bari and SS 172 dei Trulli from Taranto.

Recently a tourist port has been built in the sea location of Savelletri , part of the town territory.
